Myer Redefines ABargain Purchase As The New Fashion Statement

11th January 2014 witnessed an unprecedented event at Queensland’s Gold Coast. The Queensland Myer Fashions on the Field final was hosted at the Gold Coast Turf Club. The Jeep Magic Million Carnival experienced too many firsts on the day. Myers preponed the event by seven months hosted the event for the first time at its favored Magic Millions domain and gave away a whopping $20,000 to the winner in a $60 bargain purchase dress. Phew! And you won’t even think of attending a high-profile fashion competition dressed in knock-off attire? Well, are you sure? Myers has redefined the idea of being a fashionista.

The rescheduled date for the fashion show was declared at a short notice before 11th January 2014. But nothing deterred the participants from pulling up their socks and getting to meticulous planning for the competition. This year the competition was even tougher than previous years, with 101 ladies participating in their planned-to-the-Nth-degree attires. Queensland was the first state final of 2014 for Myers. No wonder all the attention was driven to the outcome of the final. Stephanie Martin stole the show when she was crowned State Winner of the National Fashions on the Field Competition. She look fabulous in her Alberta Ferrettire production, which she had bought online at a meagre $60!

The competition was judged by the who-s who of the Australian fashion industry, designers, editor-in-chief of a renowned fashion magazine, Head Of Department Purchase from Myer and other celebrities. The winning lady was in a summery dress with bold blue, orange and white stripes, coordinated with Ann Shoebridge’s woven straw cap in fresh orange and accessorized with Wittner’s strappy heels, gloves in fresh orange and a Colette clutch-bad. The identical dress can be found on AliExpress for $69:
